About MaplePress

MaplePress is a digital newspaper for all of Canada. Our mission comes down to two ideas: to give an overview of what’s happening in the ten provinces and three territories, and to get citizens talking from one region to another.

Each article states the region it covers. The home page opens on “Across the country,” a tile map that shows each region’s news at a glance. Below articles, comments display their author’s province, with a translation link between French and English.

Our commitments: verified facts, named sources, and corrections published transparently.
